How will we plan your renewal of vows together?
I will spend time listening to you and asking questions. My job is to make sure what you want from your renewal of vows ceremony can be realistically delivered on the day.
In consultation with you, I will create your renewal of vows ceremony script from start to finish, incorporating your choices of music, poetry, readings and rituals. An important part will be creating vows that reflect why you are renewing them.
I will help you consider how to make the most of your ceremony space, how to make an entrance and exit that suits your style, values, and physical ability.
You may wish to involve other members of your family or friends in the ceremony. You could have a ring warming, tea ceremony, or plant a tree. We will discuss how people can actively participate in rituals, read a poem, or to be involved in different ways.
You will have the opportunity to read through the renewal of vows ceremony script in advance. I will make sure the draft script is completed with plenty of time for you to review it.
What will happen on the day?
On the day, I lead the ceremony and guide you and your guests through each step. I always arrive in good time to liaise with other the suppliers, and check the venue has everything in place as planned.
The renewal of vows ceremony is never rushed as I only lead one event per day. The success and smooth running of your day is my priority.
How do you include people who have a disability or any other specific needs?
There should not be any barriers to anyone taking part in your renewal of vows ceremony. It is important to let me know about any specific needs when we discuss the ceremony, especially with regards to moving around the ceremony space, reading, or any impact of sound (e.g. for neurodivergent people, or hearing issues).
